On the march to save NHS services12.00.00am GMT Sun 30th Mar 2008 Time's running out to respond to the 'Picture of Health' NHS Consultation. This is a really important consultation for the future of healthcare in our area - proposals in 'A Picture of Health' will see cuts at Lewisham Hospital - including threats to the A&E and maternity units.
If you haven't had a chance to respond to the survey, you can do this online here or by filling in the questionnaire you should have had delivered to your home a few weeks ago. The consultation draws to a close in the week beginning 7th April. The Lib Dems oppose all the options in the consultation - cuts at Lewisham Hospital aren't acceptable, and these proposals are designed to plug a PFI funding gap at Woolwich and Farnborough - not to improve healthcare in Lewisham. Cllr Alex Feakes, Lib Dem parliamentary spokesman for Lewisham West & Penge, joined Lib Dem London Mayor candidate Brian Paddick, Greenwich & Lewisham London Assembly candidate Brian Robson, other Lib Dems and campaigners from the Pensioners' Forum and other parties on a protest march from Blackheath to Lewisham Hospital. If you feel as strongly as we do, then please, please, please make sure you respond to the consultation! Related Link:A Picture of Health consultation.
